At Quvex we love all our clients and one of out biggest clients is StudyVox (http://www.studyvox.co.uk), the social and academic networking site for students.
The site now has a substantial user base amongst full and part time students on campuses across the country. And we were most definitely excited to be at the event today with The StudyVox Foundation awarding a £10,000 bursary to one lucky student in a ceremony attended by Kylie Minogue herself. There were also three awards of £2,000 each.
Other lucky students were invited to attend the event and got to meet the patron of The StudyVox Foundation in person.
We are proud of the StudyVox site and the fact that it just works so well for the target market – and we know it adds considerable value to their interactions. Building online relationships helps to foster ‘offline’ connections, whilst the tools we have created mean students no longer need to sweat on their own. Users are able to set up study groups to share ideas with others on their course, or with anybody taking their subject across the entire StudyVox network.
The site has that combination of genuine usefulness, mixed with the potential for forming social connections across campus and beyond. Members are able to promote events, post photos, upload their favourite music and videos and form independent social groups.
As technology partner to StudyVox, Quvex attended the celebration today 25th February. “It’s a great opportunity for us to meet the end users of the site and to talk to them directly. To meet some of the dedicated users of the StudyVox site is really exciting” said Mike Duma, CTO at Quvex.
